Description

Athena 7820S / 782AS: gas spring monitor arm for the medical workstation

The Athena 7820S and 782AS are ergonomic gas-spring monitor arms, designed for flexible and stable monitor positioning in clinical and other demanding work environments. With the integrated gas spring you adjust the height of your monitor steplessly and almost without force. That way you place the screen at exact eye level in one movement, whether you sit or stand. Athena supplies its medical IT solutions from the Netherlands.

The 7820S and 782AS at a glance

  • Stepless height adjustment via gas spring
  • 7820S for screens of 2 to 8 kg
  • 782AS for heavy screens of 6 to 16 kg
  • VESA 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm
  • C-clamp for desktops up to 9 cm thick
  • Integrated cable management, optional 2x USB

Two models, two weight capacities

You choose the model that matches your screen. The 7820S carries monitors of 2 to 8 kg, the right choice for most standard workstation screens. The 782AS is the heavier version for monitors of 6 to 16 kg, for example large clinical displays or robust medical-grade monitors. Both models have a VESA mount of 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm and therefore fit virtually any screen.

Easy mounting, tidy workstation

The monitor arm clamps onto desktops up to 9 cm thick using a C-clamp; no drilling required. The integrated cable management guides cables neatly along the arm, keeping the workstation tidy and easy to clean, an important point in medical and laboratory environments. Optionally the arms come with two USB pass-through ports (male-female), so you connect peripherals directly at the workstation.

Ergonomics that pay off

A gas-spring monitor arm makes the difference between a static and a dynamic workstation. Because the screen moves effortlessly in height, depth and viewing angle, you naturally adopt a healthy posture and prevent neck and shoulder complaints. The clean silver finish suits virtually any interior.

Which monitor arm should you choose?

Choose the 7820S for screens up to 8 kg and the 782AS for heavier screens up to 16 kg. Working with two screens side by side? Then see the Athena 782BS dual monitor arm. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the 7820S and the 782AS?

The weight capacity: the 7820S carries monitors of 2 to 8 kg, the 782AS is the heavier version for screens of 6 to 16 kg. Otherwise the arms are identical.

Why a gas-spring monitor arm?

The gas spring balances the weight of the screen, so you adjust the height steplessly and almost without force. You always place the screen at the right eye level quickly, seated and standing.

Does this monitor arm fit my screen?

Almost certainly: the arm has a VESA mount of 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm, the standard on the vast majority of monitors. Do check the weight of your screen for the model choice.

Do I need to drill into the desktop?

No, the arm clamps onto desktops up to 9 cm thick with a C-clamp. Mounting is fast and without damage to the furniture.

Can I get USB ports on the arm?

Yes, optionally the 7820S and 782AS come with two USB pass-through ports, so you connect peripherals right at the screen.

Which model do I choose for my monitor?

Look at the weight of your screen. Up to 8 kg you choose the 7820S. If the screen weighs 6 to 16 kg, for example a large clinical monitor, choose the 782AS.

How do the cables stay tidy?

The cable management is integrated into the arm. Display and power cables run along the arm, so the workstation stays tidy and easy to clean.

Does the C-clamp fit my desktop?

Yes, on virtually any desktop. The clamp fits tops up to 9 cm thick and leaves no damage. No drilling required.
