The Athena AMP001 is a robust, medical-grade Android tablet for demanding, high-standard environments. Where consumer tablets fail from drops, moisture and disinfection, this rugged tablet is built exactly for that: IP65 sealed, drop-resistant up to 1.2 metres and operable with gloves or wet hands. Ideal for healthcare, cleanroom, laboratory and industrial applications where durability and continuity are essential. Athena supplies its medical IT from the Netherlands.
The 10.1-inch full-view LCD (1920 x 1200, 400 nits) has a capacitive touchscreen you operate with or without thick gloves, and with dry or wet hands, indispensable for gloved work in healthcare and cleanroom. The rugged tablet weighs less than 650 grams and is just 10.8 mm thin.
Inside runs a Qualcomm 662 octa-core processor with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage (expandable via microSD up to 128 GB) on Android 14. The cameras (8 MP front, 13 MP rear) capture wounds, situations and documents sharply. Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz) and micro-SIM support keep the tablet connected everywhere.
The built-in 8000 mAh battery is sized for long shifts. Charging goes via USB-C (max. 27 W) or via the bottom contacts, for example in a dock on the ward. LED indicators show charge status and notifications in colour. The wide temperature range (-10 °C to +50 °C) allows use in cold rooms and outdoors.
The AMP001 survives drops up to 1.2 metres onto marble and is tested with 1000 rolling cycles of 0.5 metres (2000 impacts). With ±15 kV air and ±8 kV direct discharge it is also ESD-resistant. The IP65 sealing protects against dust and splashing water, and therefore also against cleaning with disinfectants.
