The Athena AMT500 is an ergonomic, cost-effective medical IT trolley with stepless gas-spring height adjustment and a built-in battery. It gives you a full, mobile computer workstation at the bedside or on the ward, without the added cost of a motorised system.
The Athena AMT500 is an ergonomic and affordable medical IT trolley for departments where simplicity, mobility and reliability come first. It provides a full, mobile computer workstation at the bedside, in the laboratory or on the ward, without the added cost of a motorised system. Athena designs and supplies its medical IT solutions from the Netherlands.
You adjust the work surface steplessly in height using a gas spring operated by a foot pedal. This brings the workstation to the right height in a single movement, whether you work seated or standing. The work surface adjusts from 80 to 110 cm and the monitor from 112 to 153 cm, so the AMT500 works comfortably for almost every user and task. Because the height adjustment is mechanical, the trolley stays affordable to buy and maintain.
The AMT500 has a modular structure. Using the DIN rail you attach drawers, device holders and accessories exactly as your workflow requires. The gas-spring monitor arm carries a screen of 5 to 10 kg and has a VESA mount (75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm). A keyboard tray with mouse table (fitted left or right), a front handle and four castors of which two are lockable make the trolley pleasant and safe in daily use.
The built-in lithium-ion battery (15.6 Ah / 230.9 Wh) powers the workstation for a full shift, so caregivers stay mobile without constant recharging. The power system (220V AC in, 12V DC out) has an LED status indicator and a battery compartment under the work surface. Cables come pre-assembled as standard: three USB 2.0 cables, a LAN cable and a two-metre power cable.
The trolley is built from an aluminium alloy, stainless steel and ABS plastic. These materials are easy to clean and withstand intensive use in a clinical environment. The AMT500 complies with CE, RoHS, NEN/EN/IEC 3140 and NEN/EN/IEC 60335. An integrated RFID reader is optionally available for fast, secure login at the workstation.
The AMT500 is the ideal choice for departments, outpatient clinics and institutions seeking a reliable, ergonomic IT trolley without the investment of electric height adjustment. Also see our other medical workstation solutions or request advice via our contact page.
