The Thermo Scientific BB 15 CO2 Incubator offers approximately 151 litre volume with high-quality contamination prevention. With a minimal interior surface, precise temperature and CO2 control and a choice of stainless steel or solid copper, you culture cell and tissue cultures under stable conditions.
The Thermo Scientific BB 15 CO2 Incubator offers high-quality contamination prevention at an affordable price. With a total volume of approximately 151 litre, you culture cell and tissue cultures under stable conditions. Additionally, the unit combines precise temperature and CO2 control with a powerful humidification system. As a result, your cultures grow under optimal, reproducible conditions.
The BB 15 chamber is designed with a minimal contamination-prone surface area. The unit has no air ducts and no duplicate side walls. Moreover, the shelf system is reduced to the absolute minimum and the water pan is eliminated. As a result, the BB 15 has up to 50% less surface than comparable incubators.
A precise Pt 1000 temperature sensor controls the air jacket heating for a constant temperature. In case of failure, a second circuit takes over control and keeps the temperature at the preset value. Additionally, a reliable TCD sensor measures the CO2 concentration, which is auto-calibrated on every auto-start routine.
The bottom of the chamber serves as a water reservoir instead of a separate water pan. Therefore, a greater water surface area enables quick evaporation, supported by direct heat transfer from the bottom. As a result, the cabinet reaches a constant humidity of at least 95% with a recovery time of up to 30 minutes.
You choose between a stainless steel or a solid copper inner chamber. In the copper version, the chamber, shelf system, fan and fan housing are made of solid copper. Copper provides continuous bactericidal and fungicidal protection on contact, ideal for shared use. The electropolished surface with coved corners is easy to clean.
The BB 15 fits perfectly with cell culture in medical diagnostics and shared laboratory use. Also explore our larger CO2 incubators or ask for advice via our contact page.

The BB 15 chamber has no air ducts, no duplicate side walls and no water pan. As a result, the unit has up to 50% less surface than comparable incubators, which lowers the contamination risk.
Stainless steel is robust and easy to clean thanks to the electropolished surface. Copper additionally provides continuous bactericidal and fungicidal protection on contact. Therefore, you choose copper mainly in shared laboratories.
The bottom of the chamber serves as a water reservoir instead of a separate water pan. Therefore, a greater water surface area enables quick evaporation. As a result, the cabinet reaches a constant humidity of at least 95%.
After a 30-second door opening, the temperature recovers within ten minutes and the CO2 within five minutes to 98% of the initial value. As a result, your cultures remain under stable conditions.
A precise Pt 1000 sensor controls the air jacket heating. In case of failure, a second circuit takes over and keeps the temperature at the preset value. Therefore, the cabinet protects your samples even during a fault.
