This cane freezing rack is intended for the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer (CRF). The rack carries aluminum canes with straws or tubes during freezing. The canes stand upright in a fixed position. This lets the samples follow a controlled freezing profile. Poly Temp supplies the rack for the CryoMed chamber.
The cane freezing rack (CRF) is matched to the Controlled-Rate Freezer. Aluminum canes bundle straws or small tubes. The rack holds these canes upright in the chamber. This lets the cold air reach each cane evenly.
You place the rack in the CryoMed chamber. The samples freeze according to the set profile. After the cycle, you move the canes to the cryogenic storage vessel. The number of racks depends on your CryoMed model.
