This Thermo Scientific freezing rack holds aluminum canes during freezing. Each cane carries several straws or tubes. The rack keeps the canes upright in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer. This lets the samples freeze evenly and in a controlled way. Poly Temp supplies the rack for the CryoMed chamber.
The cane freezing rack is intended for aluminum canes. A cane keeps a set of straws or small tubes together. The rack holds the canes upright in the chamber. This keeps freezing in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer controlled.
You place the rack in the CryoMed chamber. The cold air reaches each cane evenly. As a result, the samples follow the same freezing profile. After freezing, you move the canes to the storage vessel.
