The cryovial freezing rack is intended for 1.2 mL and 2.0 mL cryovials. The rack holds the vials upright in place. This keeps freezing in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer controlled. These vial sizes are widely used for cells and tissue samples.
You place the rack in the chamber of the CryoMed. The cold air reaches each vial evenly. As a result, every sample follows the same freezing profile. After the cycle, you move the vials to the storage vessel.
