This Thermo Scientific freezing rack holds 4.0 mL and 5.0 mL cryovials during freezing. The larger vials stand upright at a fixed height in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer. This lets the samples freeze evenly and in a controlled way. Poly Temp supplies the rack for the CryoMed chamber.
The cryovial freezing rack is intended for 4.0 mL and 5.0 mL cryovials. The rack holds the larger vials upright in place. This keeps freezing in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer controlled. These vial sizes are used for larger cell volumes.
You place the rack in the chamber of the CryoMed. The cold air reaches each vial evenly. As a result, every sample follows the same freezing profile. After the cycle, you move the vials to the storage vessel.
