This Thermo Scientific freezing rack is intended for 4.0 mL and 5.0 mL cryovials. The larger vials stand upright in a fixed position in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer. This lets every sample follow the same controlled freezing profile. Poly Temp supplies this rack for use in the CryoMed chamber.
The cryovial freezing rack carries 4.0 mL and 5.0 mL cryovials. The rack holds the larger vials upright and orderly. As a result, the samples freeze evenly in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer. These vial sizes suit larger cell volumes.
You slide the rack into the chamber of the CryoMed. Each vial gets the same cold supply. This lets the samples follow the set freezing profile exactly. Afterward, you place the vials in the cryogenic storage vessel.
