The Fenwal 4R5461 blood bag freezing press presses a 250 mL bag flat between two plates. This gives the bag the same thickness throughout. As a result, the sample freezes evenly in the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer. The press also suits the OriGen CryoSure 250 bag.
This is the compact model with a 15 x 22.9 cm pressing surface. You place several presses side by side in the freezing chamber. The number depends on the CryoMed model. This lets you freeze several blood bags at once in a controlled way.
