The Fenwal 4R5462 blood bag freezing press is intended for 500 mL blood bags. The press flattens the bag between two plates. Thanks to the uniform thickness, a larger volume also freezes in a controlled way. The press fits the CryoMed Controlled-Rate Freezer.
The pressing surface measures 15.2 x 26.2 cm. Besides the Fenwal 4R5462 bag, CryoMacs 500 and 750 bags are suitable too. You place several presses in the freezing chamber. The number depends on the CryoMed model.
