The n-Laf NPU cage changing station from Nordic Labtech is a cage changing station for efficient and safe changing of rodent cages. Thanks to the laminar airflow from H14 filters, a clean environment is created above the work surface that protects the animals against contamination. At the same time, the ventilated work table protects the operator against dust and allergens from the cages. In this way, this animal cage changing station combines animal, operator and environmental protection in one compact system.
The work table is electrically height adjustable, so every operator can work in an optimal, ergonomic posture. On either side of the table there are automatic cage dispensers: a stack of clean cages on one side and a stack of dirty cages on the other. This allows cage changing to run in a logical, fast movement without unnecessary lifting or turning. Behind the dispensers the rear wall is ventilated, which gives the operator extra protection against dust that is released when opening and closing the cages.
The laminar flow from the HEPA H14 filters keeps the zone above the cages clean, while the ventilated work table and rear wall extract the dust towards the operator protection. This design makes the cage changing station suitable for facilities where both the health of the animals and the safety of the staff are paramount. The latest fan and filter technology also ensures a low noise level and low energy consumption during continuous use.
The station has a standard working area of 2000 x 1400 mm, but is supplied as a custom solution tailored to your room and workflow. On request we adapt the system into an emptying station within the LAF zone, protecting the operator and the environment against dust when emptying old bedding.
