The Nordic Labtech n-Safe Isotope is a microbiological safety cabinet according to EN 12469 for the safe handling of radioactive materials in nuclear medicine, such as PET and Tc-99. The cabinet is fitted with lead shielding from 1 to 50 mm Pb, a slidable lead glass front and optional waste, dose calibrator and generator storage. Available in 1200, 1500 and 1800 mm widths and fully configured to your application. Poly Temp supplies the n-Safe Isotope on a quotation basis.
The n-Safe Isotope by Nordic Labtech combines a Class II microbiological safety cabinet according to EN 12469 with complete radiation shielding. This protects you against biological risks and against the radiation of radioactive preparations at the same time. The cabinet is developed for nuclear medicine and is suitable for preparing and handling radiopharmaceuticals such as PET tracers and Tc-99.
The bottom, side walls and back wall are covered with lead plates from 1 to 50 mm Pb, depending on your requirements. These lead plates are fully encapsulated in stainless steel, which keeps the cabinet easy to clean. The front consists of slidable lead glass on ball bearings with a lead equivalent of 1 to 50 mm Pb. For a lead equivalent above 30 mm, the front can be split in two, for example 30 plus 20 mm, for the best possible ergonomics. The two parts can be used separately or together.
The n-Safe Isotope can be extended with options that are integrated into the table top. You choose single or double waste chambers and dose calibrators, all with lead shielding from 1 to 50 mm Pb. The dose calibrator can be combined with a 19 inch computer monitor in the back wall. For generators, Nordic Labtech offers generator storage with 50 mm Pb all around, suitable for two Tc-99 generators and fitted with an integrated elevator. This storage can be placed on the left or right of the table top and fits the most common generator brands; generators are exchanged easily without lifting high.
Like all n-Safe cabinets, the Isotope is compact with optimal usable working space, and comes standard with dimmable LED lighting and a low noise level. Nordic Labtech is a TUV Nord certified manufacturer of biological safety cabinets. The n-Safe Isotope is available in 1200, 1500 and 1800 mm widths and is configured per customer.
