Termaks KB 9400 climate chamber for stability and climate simulation

The Termaks KB 9400 series is a compact, powerful climate chamber for climate, stability and environmental applications in pharma, biotech and industry. With a temperature range of -2 to +70 C and a usable volume of 400 litres, this environmental chamber combines coordinated heating and cooling so you maintain accurate, reproducible conditions. On-demand cooling only engages when needed and runs on a standard single wall socket, which keeps the chamber energy efficient and easy to install.

The KB 9400 is a validatable stability chamber: factory optimisation and validation follow protocol, with a temperature variation of +/- 0.1 C and a spatial deviation of +/- 0.2%. A stainless steel interior, self-cleaning operation, built-in self-test, automatic water supply and leak protection ensure reliable, low-maintenance use. Operation is via a touchscreen with data logging and full remote support through Connect. Lockable castors are standard, so you can move and position the chamber with ease.

Three versions: L, F and FL

The series offers three variants that you select based on your application:

  • KB 9400 L is fitted with a programmable lighting system for day and night simulation with ramping. Light is adjustable from 3 to 100% and delivers up to 12,000 Lux in the centre and up to 25,000 Lux on both sides, ideal for photostability and growth applications.
  • KB 9400 F adds humidity control. Humidity variation is +/- 2% RH with a spatial deviation of +/- 2% RH, a setting range of 1 to 99% RH and a working range of 15 to 96% RH (the humidifier switches off below +4 C and above +55 C). Heatless humidification runs on demineralised water; a 5 L water reservoir is optional.
  • KB 9400 FL combines the lighting system and humidity control in a single chamber, for complete climate simulation with light and humidity.

Applications and selection guide

The Termaks KB 9400 is intended for stability studies, shelf-life testing under ICH conditions, photostability and general environmental simulation. If you need an environment with both controlled light and controlled humidity, the FL version is the most complete choice.
