Description

The Thermo Scientific 8 x 2000 mL swing-out rotor is a swinging bucket rotor for the BIOS 16 bioprocessing centrifuge. Moreover, this rotor offers the highest capacity in the series with eight oval buckets. In addition, the rotor reaches a maximum speed of 3,900 rpm and an RCF of 5,374 x g. As a result, you process up to 8 x 2000 mL samples in a single run.

Furthermore, this swing-out rotor stands out through its 16-liter total volume. Eight oval buckets accommodate 2 liter bottles for large-scale bioprocessing. As a result, you process large batches in fewer cycles. In addition, the swinging bucket design delivers flat pellets for easy decanting.

In addition, the rotor is designed for fast and safe operation. The rotor works with the Auto-Lid and Auto-ID functions of the BIOS 16. The Auto-ID technology recognizes the rotor instantly upon placement. As a result, the centrifuge automatically loads the correct parameters and prevents over-speeding.

Finally, the rotor is exclusively compatible with the Thermo Scientific BIOS 16 centrifuge. The set includes the rotor, oval buckets and 2,000 mL bottles. In addition, the rotor features a stainless steel body with an aluminum windshield and buckets. As a result, you combine robustness with low weight.
