Description

The Thermo Scientific Savant SpeedVac RH200-12 is an open rotor for vacuum concentration. In addition, this rotor holds 200 glass or plastic tubes of 12 x 75 mm. The open rotor evaporates samples directly in the open tubes. As a result, you concentrate very large numbers of tubes at once.

Furthermore, the RH200-12 is designed for large capacity concentrators. In addition, the rotor fits the Savant SpeedVac SPD210 and SPD2030. The SPD300 requires the RAD200 adapter. This lets the rotor match several large systems.

Moreover, the RH200-12 has holes that accept different sample sizes. As a result, you also place 200 microtubes of 1.5 mL in the rotor. Tubes of 13 x 100 mm also fit the open positions. This lets you work flexibly with different tube formats.

Finally, you place the RH200-12 directly into the concentrator. No extra accessories are needed, except the RAD200 for the SPD300. In addition, Poly Temp supplies the rotor as a separate component. Contact Poly Temp for advice on the right rotor choice.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the Savant SpeedVac RH200-12 rotor

Which Savant SpeedVac is the RH200-12 compatible with?

The RH200-12 fits the Savant SpeedVac SPD210 and SPD2030. In addition, it works with the SPD300 via the RAD200 adapter. Moreover, these are large capacity concentrators.

How many tubes does the RH200-12 hold?

The rotor holds 200 tubes. In addition, it also accepts 200 microtubes of 1.5 mL. This lets you process very large sample numbers per run.

Which tube format fits the RH200-12?

The rotor suits tubes of 12 x 75 mm. In addition, tubes of 13 x 100 mm fit the open positions. Moreover, you use glass or plastic tubes.

Why is this called an open rotor?

The RH200-12 evaporates samples directly in the open tubes. In addition, the tubes stay open during vacuum evaporation. As a result, the solvent evaporates directly.

Do I need an adapter for the SPD300?

Yes, the SPD300 requires the RAD200 adapter. Moreover, the rotor fits the SPD210 and SPD2030 without an adapter. Poly Temp advises on the right combination.

Which applications does the rotor suit?

The rotor suits evaporation of large sample numbers. In addition, you use it for test tubes and microtubes. This lets you concentrate many samples in a single run.
