The Thermo Scientific Wellwash Versa microplate washer combines automated washing of 96- and 384-well plates with multiple buffer positions, optional cell washing and laboratory automation connectivity. It is designed for research laboratories running varied assays and changing protocols.
The large colour display and graphical user interface support rapid protocol development. Wash cycles, soak time, shaking speed, dispensing and aspiration height and aspiration speed are adjustable. Up to 99 protocols can be stored; USB supports transfer of protocols, reports and log files.
Wellwash Versa processes 96-well plates and, with the optional 1 x 16 wash head, 384-well plates. Two wash bottles and one rinse bottle provide up to three buffer positions. Depending on the model, two 1 x 8 or two 1 x 12 wash heads are supplied.
A dedicated 2 x 8 cell wash head is available for adherent cells. Combined with adjustable aspiration and dispensing parameters, it enables a gentle process that removes excess liquid while limiting disturbance of the cell layer.
Wellwash Versa connects to automation systems through USB or RS-232C. Colour-coded tube fittings and sensor cables simplify setup. Non-pressurised bottles, liquid-level sensors, a plate sensor, automatic prime and rinse functions and an aerosol cover support safe daily use.
If you only run routine 96-well ELISA protocols with one buffer, the standard Thermo Scientific Wellwash is often the more efficient choice.
