Description

WLD-TEC Fuego SCS: a safe laboratory burner for modern microbiology

The WLD-TEC Fuego SCS is a safety laboratory gas burner that replaces the classic Bunsen burner with a modern, precisely regulated flame. It is designed for all flame-related applications in the laboratory, from sterilizing inoculation loops to working on a cleanroom bench. The low, streamlined housing minimally disturbs the airflow in a flow cabinet, and the DualKnob regulates gas and air separately for an exact flame.

At the heart of the series is the Safety Control System (SCS): a safety technology that continuously analyses potential hazards and immediately interrupts the gas supply in case of danger. In addition to ignition and flame control and overheating protection, the Burner Head Control (BHC) continuously monitors the burner head for clogging and correct assembly. A residual heat display protects against burns and automatic switch-off prevents unintentional ignition.

  • Safety burner with Safety Control System (SCS) and gas cut-off
  • Burner Head Control (BHC) against clogging, plus residual heat display
  • Removable and decomposable stainless steel burner head
  • Tilt mechanism left and right, holder for 3 inoculation loop holders
  • Suitable for natural gas and liquid gas, also from cartridge or cylinder
  • Full stainless steel and glass, UV- and solvent-resistant

The Fuego SCS comes in four versions. The basic works with button or the included foot pedal, the basic RF has a wireless foot pedal, the SCS adds a touch-free IR-sensor, graphic display and temperature regulation, and the pro additionally runs completely wirelessly on a rechargeable battery. Frequently asked questions

What is the Safety Control System (SCS) of the Fuego?

The SCS is the core of the Fuego safety burner. It continuously analyses potential hazards and immediately interrupts the gas supply in case of danger. It includes ignition and flame control, temperature monitoring and the Burner Head Control (BHC), which monitors the burner head for clogging and correct assembly.

What is the difference between the basic, basic RF, SCS and pro?

The basic (8.201.000) works with button or the included cabled foot pedal. The basic RF (8.203.000-RF) has a wireless foot pedal. The SCS (8.200.000) adds a touch-free IR-sensor, graphic display and temperature regulation. The pro (8.204.000) additionally has wireless battery operation and a tilt sensor.

How long does the Fuego SCS pro run on a battery?

The Fuego SCS pro works completely wirelessly on two rechargeable batteries and offers up to 9 hours of continuous use, corresponding to about 2000 loop annealing operations. Thanks to the built-in fast-charge function the battery is recharged in 3 hours.

Which gas types can I use with the Fuego?

The Fuego SCS works with fixed connections for natural gas (E/LL) and liquid gas (propane/butane), but also with gas cartridges or cylinders. The gas connection is 1/4 inch with left-hand thread and gas filter. The flame temperature reaches up to 1350 degrees Celsius with liquid gas.

Is the Fuego suitable for use in a flow cabinet?

Yes. The low, streamlined housing is specially designed to disturb the airflow on a cleanroom bench or in a flow cabinet as little as possible. The burner is also flame-sterilizable and made entirely of stainless steel and glass.

Can I clean the burner head?

Yes. The burner head is removable and fully decomposable and made of stainless steel. Clogging is no problem: spilled liquids drain away through an integrated outlet and solid residues are easily removed by opening the burner shaft.
