Description

WLD-TEC SteriMax basic and smart: flameless sterilization with infrared

The WLD-TEC SteriMax basic and smart sterilize inoculation loops and delicate micro-instruments completely without a flame using the innovative IR-HotSpot technology. Specifically focused infrared light forms a hotspot in which your loop is sterilized within 5 to 10 seconds at a temperature of 750 to 1000 degrees Celsius. The sterilizer just needs to be plugged in and is ready to use immediately, with no warm-up time.

The annealing tube of special quartz glass is closed at one end, preventing contamination with pathogens, and slides out in seconds for easy cleaning. Thanks to Thermocontrol, residual heat is reused for efficient energy use and minimal heat dissipation. The elegant stainless steel housing with safety glass touch panel stays cool on the outside (Cool-Touch) and is made for intensive laboratory use.

  • Flameless sterilization with IR-HotSpot, ideal for the flow cabinet and anaerobic work
  • Sterilized in 5 to 10 seconds at 750 to 1000 degrees Celsius
  • Ready to use immediately, no warm-up time needed
  • Annealing tube of special quartz glass, easily removable for cleaning
  • Cool-Touch stainless steel housing with touch panel
  • Energy-efficient through Thermocontrol with reuse of residual heat

The basic starts sterilization via touch operation or an optional foot pedal with a fixed time of 10 seconds. The smart adds a touch-free IR-sensor, 2 user profiles and an adjustable sterilization and cool-down time, with an acoustic signal. Choose the desired version below.

Frequently asked questions

How does the IR-HotSpot technology of the SteriMax work?

Specifically focused infrared light forms a hotspot in which the loop is sterilized at a temperature of 750 to 1000 degrees Celsius. This happens flamelessly in 5 to 10 seconds. The SteriMax just needs to be plugged in and is ready to use immediately, with no warm-up time.

What is the difference between the SteriMax basic and smart?

The basic (4.001.000) starts sterilization via touch operation or an optional foot pedal with a fixed time of 10 seconds. The smart (4.101.000) has a touch-free IR-sensor, 2 user profiles, an adjustable sterilization and cool-down time and an adjustable sensor range.

Why is the SteriMax suitable for a flow cabinet?

Because the SteriMax works without a flame, it does not disturb the laminar airflow in a flow cabinet and needs no gas or open fire. That makes it ideal for sterile and anaerobic work in a safety cabinet or laminar flow cabinet.

What is Cool-Touch and why is it useful?

Cool-Touch means that the outside of the housing stays cool, so there is no risk of burns on the housing. Combined with a residual heat display for the annealing tube, this lets you work safely, even during intensive use.

How do I clean the annealing tube?

The annealing tube is made of special quartz glass and closed at one end, which prevents contamination with pathogens. The tube slides out in seconds, so you can clean it easily and separately.

Does the SteriMax use a lot of energy?

No. Thanks to Thermocontrol the SteriMax uses a smooth soft-start, a short heating phase and reuse of residual heat for the next sterilization. As soon as you pause, energy consumption and heat dissipation pause as well. The peak power is approximately 600 W, only during the short sterilization.
