The WLD-TEC SteriMax is an electric loop sterilizer that lets you sterilize inoculation loops, needles and micro-instruments completely without a flame. The SteriMax is ideal for laboratories and safety cabinets where gases and open flames are not permitted, and for anaerobic work. Its unique double tube system of robust quartz glass and wear-resistant ceramic reaches the optimal annealing temperature of 900 to 950 degrees Celsius within a few minutes.
To sterilize, simply hold the inoculation loop inside the ceramic annealing tube. After 5 to 7 seconds the loop is sterilized and ready for immediate use. A spray protector integrated at the back adds safety when handling pathogenic material. The ceramic annealing tube can be removed from the quartz glass heating element for thorough cleaning.
The exclusive angular adjustment allows a self-locking position setting of the annealing tube. The low, stable housing enables comfortable work and protects the working surface from contamination. After prolonged use a residual heat display indicates that the surface of the annealing tube is hot, protecting against burns. The SteriMax is available in two sizes: short (annealing tube Ø 15 mm, length 118 mm) and long (annealing tube Ø 20 mm, length 161 mm).

The SteriMax is designed for sterilizing inoculation loops, needles and micro-instruments. Sterilization is completely flameless, which makes the SteriMax ideal for laboratories and safety cabinets where gases and open flames are not permitted.
The ceramic annealing tube reaches an annealing temperature of 900 to 950 degrees Celsius. After a heating-up time of 10 to 16 minutes the device is ready for use. An inoculation loop is then sterilized in 5 to 7 seconds.
Because the SteriMax works without a flame, it does not disturb the laminar airflow in a flow cabinet and needs no gas connection or open fire. That makes it ideal for sterile and anaerobic work in a safety cabinet.
The short version (5.001.000) has a ceramic annealing tube of Ø 15 mm with a length of 118 mm and 160 W power. The long version (5.101.000) has an annealing tube of Ø 20 mm with a length of 161 mm and 225 W power, suited to larger instruments.
The double tube system consists of a heating element of robust quartz glass and a wear-resistant ceramic annealing tube. The ceramic tube can be removed from the heating element within seconds for thorough, separate cleaning.
This classic SteriMax works with a heated double tube system of ceramic and quartz glass and has a short warm-up time. The SteriMax basic and smart sterilize with focused infrared light (IR-HotSpot) and are ready to use immediately without warm-up, at 750 to 1000 degrees Celsius.
