Who is S+B Laboratory Interiors?

S+B Laboratory Interiors has a history of over 120 years, making it one of the most experienced players in laboratory design, furniture and fume cupboards in the Netherlands and Belgium. From its own production and advisory facility in Rotterdam, S+B designs, manufactures and installs furniture for pharmaceutical laboratories, chemical laboratories, hospitals, cleanrooms and educational institutions.

S+B's vision is that a laboratory should be not only functional and safe, but also inspiring: an environment where staff enjoy working. All products are produced in-house, making short lead times and custom modifications standard practice.

S+B's laboratory furniture range includes work tables, cabinets, seating and accessories in various materials and configurations. By combining functional design with colour, organic shapes and materials such as Solid Surface, S+B creates laboratories that clients are proud to show. Every piece of furniture is designed with attention to ergonomics, safety and the specific activities taking place. Poly Temp Scientific supplies the laboratory equipment that operates on these workstations.

Ecoline fume cupboards: safe and energy-efficient

The S+B Ecoline fume cupboard is a high-quality solution for safely working with hazardous gases and vapours. The cabinet features an optimised air handling system with low extraction capacity, leading to significant cost savings on building energy management. The Ecoline fully complies with NEN-EN 14175 and NPR 4500. In addition to the standard version, S+B also realises fully custom fume cupboards for special applications.

Cleanroom furniture from in-house production

Cleanroom furniture requires a different approach to standard laboratory work: smooth surfaces, no open connections, cleanable materials and sometimes electrical compatibility with classification systems. S+B produces cleanroom furniture such as airlock fit-outs and pass-through cabinets with interlock systems entirely in-house. This guarantees quality in every detail and integrates seamlessly with cleanroom realisations by partners such as Medexs and Syboned.

S+B produces cleanroom airlock fit-outs and pass-through cabinets with interlock systems entirely in-house, for seamless integration into GMP-certified production environments.

S+B Laboratory Interiors and Poly Temp Scientific

S+B provides the workstation; Poly Temp Scientific supplies the laboratory equipment that operates on it. By collaborating early in the fit-out process, equipment choices can be incorporated into the dimensions of the work surface, utility connections and laboratory layout.
